Black/Brown Stones (10-14), Deerfield Stones (14) Rainbow and Case Caddis Czech Nymphs (10-14) Pheasant Tails (14-18), Zebra Midge (18-22), Woolly Buggers (6-10). I expect Buggers, Flashy Buggers and Streamers to become very effective on the new arrivals. Czech and Flashback style nymphs have produced some fish. The catch and release areas have been stocked according to the reports along with parts of the Westfield River. With the recent warm temps the water levels have risen so check flows before you head out.

Learn to effectively tie crippled emergers like the X Caddis, Quigley Cripple, Snow Shoe Caddis and a Comparadun if time allows. Crippled emergers are an effective pattern all over the world. Deerfield Fly Shop Photo Contest. From now until the end of June send in a photo of a fish you caught and the Deerfield Fly Shop logo (hat,t-shirt or sweatshirt) and be entered to win a $35.00 gift card. Please include the name of the river and your name when you send in the picture. You do not have to say the specific spot just the river or small stream. This is not a big fish contest.
