Swift River
Had a chance to fish the Swift Wednesday with friend and guide Eric Halloran. I was able to hook into many brookies and a nice rainbow using a Madam X sz10 with a midge larva dropper in some riffles. Missed 1 other. Hooked into another bow further down below rt9. Eric hooked up with some nice bows as well. There a lots of fish to practice and hone your skills on. Here are some other choices that are taking fish: Olive/Hare’s Ear SH 16-20, Ants 16-20, Light Cahill 16-18, RS-2 18-24, Midge Larva 16-20, Pheasant Tails 18-22, Squirmies, Buggers and leach patterns can also connect you at times.

Fife down to Shelburne is the best stretch to fish until we get cooler temps and rain. Evenings after 6pm is when things really start to come alive.
