The Deerfield and Millers are fishing good right now. The state has stocked and is continuing to stock these rivers so there are lots of new fish and hold overs providing some exciting action. There is a slew of flies taking the newbies from buggers to dries being skated across the surface. Slow retrieves or dead drifting buggers seems to be the way to go.

Foliage is peaking so get out and enjoy while we can. A good week of warm weather and then cooler with rain showers is predicted this week. An increase in flows will help spread these fish out and make them a bit more aggressive. It usually takes a couple weeks for them to get acclimated to their new living conditions.

First picture is of a nice Millers River rainbow caught by Tom Saltis and the second is from the Deerfield recently.
