All types of Pheasant Tails 12-18, Olive and Tan Caddis Nymphs 8-16, Dark Micro Stones 14-16, Prince Nymphs 10-14, Brown/Black/Golden Stones 8-12, Hares Ear 10-14, Hot Spot Jigs 10-16, GD Czech Catnip 8-14, SH Pheasant Tail 14-20, San Juan Worms and Eggs. Olive, Brown and Black Buggers 6-10 are always a good producer.
Light/Dark Hendrickson’s 12-16 are coming off in good numbers in the afternoon. Small darker bodied Caddis 16-20 are mixed in. Fish are rising but they are keying in more on the sub-surface activity. Mayfly nymphs like the PT has been the go to fly during these hatches and the fish seem to really turn on in the later afternoon. Water temp on the lower Deerfield River was 52 degrees at 2pm on Wednesday 4/27.
The Millers River is reporting some great action at this time as well. Caddis Nymphs have been producing the best result thus far.
