Better conditions have been reported on the Swift River. Catch and release rules will take effect below Rt.9 to Cady Lane on July 1 along with a fresh stocking. Midges are always a good idea but don’t be afraid to tie on a size 14-20. Yellow soft hackle is a good choice especially during sulphur hatches.
Conditions have remained pretty solid with the weekly rain events. Early morning and evenings are the best time to get out there. Various soft hackles, sulphurs and cahills have been the popular flies amongst customers. New hats just arrived in various colors. Get them before they’re gone. The shop will be closed July 4.
